❓Can we predict the future of pet care by looking at the human market? đŸŸ

Yesterday, I attended the Promojardin-Promanimal Annual Convention in Paris. A big thank you to @Ineke Meredith, CEO of Fur Love, for the invitation! It was an inspiring day dedicated to "understanding, anticipating, and deciding" in our shifting landscape.

2 key takeaways:

  • The generational bridge: from Boomers seeking quality and advice to Gen Z demanding environmental transparency and "Instagrammable" innovation, authenticity is a common denominator. We are seeing a convergence of expectations where science-backed claims must meet emotional connection.
  • Multi-species habitats: the rise of "hybrid" canine breeds and diverse pet households is restructuring how we think about specialised nutrition and care. Innovation is no longer just about "new products" ; the real winners will be those who translate human trends into species-specific scientific realities.

đŸ’Ą Take-Home: in a market driven by "humanissation," don't just market a feeling ; prove the benefit. Science-backed strategy is the only way to build long-term trust.
